  • What does it cost?
    Retirement Care is $450 mo and 1 mo security deposit upon delivery of horse.
  • What does retirement care include?
    High quality senior feed, fed individually 2xs Daily Shared 40 acre Field with Native and Coastal Grass. Winter wheat for grazing year round. Large Shade Trees and 3 ponds and fresh well water trough. Unlimited Fertilized High Quality Coastal Hay from Round Bales 24/7 year round Large Loafing Shed **We keep our residents fat and happy. Most thrive on this enviroment and feed schedule. If your horse needs more, we will make adjustments as needed to enusre they keep up weight and healthy coat.
  • What about vet, dental and farrier care? "
    Your board will include regular paste worming and daily inspections for any physical or behavior changes. Regular grooming to keep our residents looking sharp. Our farrier trims every 6 weeks unless otherwise needed depending on your horse. Dental exam and float scheduled annually. Owner is responsible for all farrier, dentist, and farrier expenses. We will schedule and attend / handle your horse for all professional services and we will bill you for services rendered.
  • What happens when my horse passes?
    We love our horses and they remain right here. They are gently put to sleep by vet if needed, or they will pass naturally. We bury them here on the farm. You are welcome to erect a memorial stone to honor their years of service. Costs for burial services are covered by your security deposit.
  • What kind of access to my horse will I have?
    We are a private farm and have locked security gate. There are no public roads to your horse and his retirement pasture. You will have access to the security gate code but we ask that you text us that you are visiting. We want to know who is coming and going. You are welcome to bring visitors. This is not a riding facility, no arena. There are trails to meander on should you decide to go for a hack.
  • Who has eyes on my horse?
    Two generations of Webbers live and work on the farm. We attend to the horses everyday. Someone is always home to take care of the animals. There are usually 4 people home everyday, all day. Additionally, we will be taking photos of your horse and posting to our Facebook page. So check in for status updates and see how your boy (or girl) is getting on with their new friends.
